Motorized Hacksaw
OK, I can think of a number of different ways to accomplish the same thing with less chance of flying catastrophe, but what the hell, this is kind of awesome. I might not suggest it as your next weekend project, but I can totally get down with the do-it-yourself, use what you’ve got mentality of it. Just get ready to duck when that saw starts whipping around the garage.

I have one of those hacksaws in my garage. Bought it at an old farm auction some years back.
