Smokeout 2008 : Photo : 001

A week ago I left for the Smoke Out and from the second I hit the Farmington Dragway, I started snapping photos - over 1500 of them in fact. Smoke Out was a blast, the new location was cool, the drag racing was awesome and over all just a great time.

I have 2 main reasons I go to the Smoke Out:
(1) To see friends and catch up with folks I talk to online / through email all year long, but don’t get to hang out with

(2) To snap photos of killer bikes.

Like I said, I took a LOT of photos, so starting today as a countdown to Smoke Out 2009, I’ll be posting AT LEAST 1 photo per day. Some day’s it might be multiple photos, most of the time it will just be 1 cool shot. Everyday for the next 365, and that’s in addition to the usual daily posts, so more goodness for all your greasebags to chew on.

Additionally, I’ve created a new category just for these photos, so if you miss a whole bunch and want to catch up on just the photos only, you can click on the “Smokeout_2008_Photos link at the bottom of any photo post to see the rest in the series. Sick huh?

Anyway, to kick this off, the photo above is of my favorite bike of the weekend. The quality of fabrication, engineering and just attention to detail was unreal. Everything about this bike was absolutely beautiful . A Hinckley Triumph has never looks so good.
