58 yo Professional educator/naturalist/machinist/environmentalist/father of 3 young men agrees heartily with you. I worry about the devaluation of physical work, both simple and complex, easy and complicated accompanied by the selling of our ethics and values for a $6 latte and a laptop conversation with a faceless unknown that cannot exchange a handshake of honor in a deal. The saying "It's only business!" takes the place of personal pride of accomplishment and skill and substitutes "Good Enough" in this modern worldwide faceless economy. The stock exchange and workless profit making Fatcats fatter and respected while the skilled tradesmen are considered wageslaves is resulting in a topsy turvy society. Come the revoulution! Eat the rich!
