Knucklebuster on Biker Radio Magazine

Bikerradio
Not too long ago I posted a link to a website / podcast called Biker Radio Magazine. Ken - the host - puts on an interesting and professional show that covers a fair bit of ground when it comes to motorcycles. I like the fact that many of the shows have a D.I.Y or “learn how it’s done” element to them. Anyway, after I posted the link I emailed Ken to let him know I gave his site a plug and that I dug what he was doing. When he got back to me, he let me know that he was diggin’ the vibe here on knucklebuster and asked me if I wanted to be on the show. I love talking shop, so I was all over it. That show has been posted online this morning - dubbed the fabrication show.

To go off on a tangent for a second - I think it’s funny that I’m on the “fabrication show” because I’m such a rookie when it comes to bike building. From the beginning, this site has been about sharing knowledge and inspiration. That might sound kind a little lame and new age-y, but that’s essentially what it boils down to. From sharing tech tips and how-to’s – to showing off the work of do-it-yourself greasebags, my hope is that what people get out of this site is knowledge and inspiration. Hopefully folks learn something new here or are inspired to go wrench in their garage, or just get psyched to see a bitchin’ bike some other greaser has built thousands of miles away. In building this site, that’s what I get out of it. Everyday I’m learning something new about bike building or getting psyched and inspired by some sick motorcycle that was built in someone’s basement/shed/barn/living room. At the end of the day, I know and can do a lot more things myself when it comes to bike building than I could when I started this site - that alone, makes it worth doing to me. So while I think it’s funny that I’m on a show about fabrication - especially when the other guests are professional bike builders, with lots of experience - I also think it’s really fucking cool that some punk rock kid who’s still learning the ropes can get up there and represent the backyard builders and guys who are just learning as they go. Viva la fucking greasebag.

Anyway, go check out the show, and if you feel like letting me know what you think, drop a comment below. To check it out, go to the shows page and download the fabrication show, my segment is first.
