Here’s the previously posted info:
Chris and I have one of our project bikes up for sale on ebay right now. It’s a 1966 BSA Lighting that’s almost complete and has matching numbers. Make no mistake, this is a project – but it’s the perfect candidate for a resto, chopper or cafe racer. Check out the ebay auction here: 1966 BSA Lightning For Sale
Some quick info below, more pics on the auction page.
1966 BSA Lightning project bike. Almost complete; matchings numbers project.
- Loosely mocked up for pictures.
- Engine turns freely.
- No pistons in motor.
- Single carb head, much easier to tune, more lower end power.
- Head is bare but will include original valves, springs and rockers.
- Transmission shifts thru all gears.
Excellent start to a winter project. Please look at pictures closely and ask all questions before bidding.
Needs to be shipped whole, I will not box up or crate.
Bike is located near Framingham, MA – local inspection is possible.
Payment by paypal preferred.
This is a project bike, don’t expect to be riding this bike shortly after purchase, needs complete restoration, but a mostly complete project. New parts are readily available for these bikes.
BSA’s have more power and are considerably faster than Triumphs and much cheaper than Nortons. Would make a perfect restoration, cafĂ© racer or even chopper.
No title, bill of sale will be provided.
