Sweet Long Island Evo From Big Nick
Big Nick from Long Island checked in with me about the bike he built with some help from his friend Scott McCaffrey. This is one sick skoot and I must say they built it pretty quick. No, they didn’t put it together in 10 days like that idiotic TV bullshit – if memory servers me right they started building at the end of May and just finished it up at the end of August. 3 months is pretty quick in my eyes, especially considering the quality of work. Love the lines and stance of the bike and the paint and pinstriping is awesome. Simple, clean and looks like a lot of fucking fun. More info and pics behind the cut.

I built the bike along with some help from Scott. He had picked up a Sucker Punch roller, no stretch, no rake, rigid, running a 150 white wall on a 16×5.5 60 spoke, wide glide front end with a 21 90/90. Its got an 80” Evo, HD 5 spd trans, 3” BDL belt drive. We swapped out the 10” apes for a set of 16”, a seat from Choppa Head, rear fender from Twisted Choppers. We cut off all the unneeded mounts on the frame, welded up the tank mounts and pipe mounts. I made the spring mounts for the seat out of some 1” rebar scrap I got from my buddy Mike and a front mount for the seat out of some ¼” scrap. We cut the fender to our liking and made up a set or straight forward struts. I made up a side mount to hold the plate and the Model A taillight. The frame was powder coated black, the tins are black with a candy gold scallop. Scott took it for the maiden voyage on August 29th.
